Who Gets Graceland after Lisa Marie Presley's Death?
Lisa Marie Presley’s three surviving children will inherit her Graceland estate, according to reports following her death on January 12 at age 54 from cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California.
Her daughters—actor Riley Keough, 33, and twins Harper and Finley Lockwood, 14—will inherit Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, where she will be buried near her late father Elvis and her son Ben.
Background on the Estate
Lisa Marie was the sole heir to Elvis Presley’s estate, which she inherited in 1980 following his 1977 death. The property includes Elvis’s Graceland mansion and its surrounding 13 acres. The estate was placed in trust when she was nine years old, and she gained full ownership on her 25th birthday in 1993.
Graceland became a public museum honoring Elvis in 1982, attracting approximately 650,000 visitors annually. The property is estimated to be worth $500 million.
Lisa Marie’s Commitment to Family Ownership
Lisa Marie was adamant about keeping Graceland within the family. In a 2013 interview, she stated: “Graceland was given to me and will always be mine…and then passed to my children. It will never be sold.”
The family requested that fans donate to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation instead of sending flowers as tributes.
