Renowned American broadcast journalist and television personality Barbara Walters passed away in December. Walters achieved prominence during the 1970s due to her exceptional interviewing abilities and broad audience appeal.

Throughout her career, she hosted several notable television programs, including Today, the ABC Evening News, 20/20, and The View. Her interviews spanned multiple U.S. presidents and their spouses, from Richard and Pat Nixon through Barack and Michelle Obama. She also conducted interviews with Joe Biden and Donald Trump outside their presidential terms, with her final on-air interview featuring Trump in December 2015 for ABC News.

Estate Distribution

According to reporting on her estate, Walters’ assets passed to her family members. Her property holdings included:

Her daughter Jacqueline Dena Guber later transferred this unit, selling it for $5.35 million in September 2018.

  • An Upper East Side apartment in New York City with Central Park views, which she occupied since 1989.
